JOIN OUR FARM BY CLICKING HERE
Welcome! Now you are a member of the farm.
At this point, you have chosen your group, set up your account, set up your password, and need to know how to move about in the Member Only software.
Here are links that will help you:
Member's Only Store, click here.
Member's Account, click here.
Member's Payment, click here.
When you set up your account the first time, you may want to order the same day. If so, you will need one of our support team to activate your account for you. Normally there is a few days waiting period for the software to activate a new account. Give us a call and we can activate your account right away.
The Member Only software is highly sophisticated and is really two ordering systems in one.
a) it allows you to make a subscription for certain items you want to come with every scheduled pick up
b) it allows you to make one time purchases for extra items that you only need that one week
It then combines the information from both sides of the software onto one account card for your shopping convenience.
The Member's Only software was integrated into Sand Creek Farm to help the members gain control of many areas of their food and ordering needs and is completely customer managed:
a) Orders
b) Vacations
c) Payment timing and amounts
d) Group Selection / Days of the week to pick up at the farm
e) To have the luxury of an online store and a rolling subscripton
One quick tip to remember about the subscription side of things. The subscription area was not meant to be changed up and down on a regular basis. Just like you would not have a magazine come this month but not next. When you choose your subscription items, choose the lowest number you know you always want to come with each pick up. Then if you need extra of any of those items, just that week, go to the store and click to buy just the extra quanity. Your subscription amount will come, then the extra amount from the store - added together they make the total number of that item you need that week.
We ask two things:
a) Order online during your online store hours and try not to call the farm with individual orders as a habit. If you can make the changes to your account or order on your own, please do so; or if an email can be sent for a less pressing matter, please do so. If there is an extenuating circumstance, we understand, life sometimes throws each of us a curve ball, and we will happily assist you in any way we can. Please call during office hours, Mon-Friday 8-11:30. You are welcome to send an email or leave a message at any other time. The farm is open to farm member's until 5:00 pm each day for pick ups but the store is not manned during that time unless you make an appointment.
b) Make sure there is enough money in your farm account to cover the cost of the food you have ordered before the food leaves the farm. You will be in complete control of when you pay and how much you pay into your farm account. It is kind of like a farm debit card. You put money in, order food, at midnight the night of pick up the system debits your farm account. If your account drops below $1.00, the system will automatically send you a message, every single day, until you add money to your account. You are welcome to use any of the payment options available through our software; however, if you choose a paypal option the paypal fees will be added to your account, they are usually between 3-5%.
If you are in a group where the members take turn coming to the farm to pick up for one another, you are welcome to shop at the farm for other items while you are here. We will happily enter the purchase onto your farm account or you can pay for your items when you are here if you don't have enough funds on your account. You are also welcome to make payments to your account when you are here. Your family is welcome to picnic and wander around the farm.
We have three rules:
1) close any gate you open
2) don't feed the animals
3) pick up any trash you create or see so that the animals don't ingest something that might harm them. Cows tongues are created in such a way that when they start to eat something they cannot spit it back out. This makes plastic and strings very dangerous.
Our store is not manned full-time but we do live on the farm. If you need assistance in the store and no one is there, do not hesitate to call the number listed on sign on the silver table or stop at the house and ask one of the farmers to come down to the store to help you with your order.
In the store there is a clip board with an order list for each group and individual. If you are picking up for the group, please look at the packet. There will be a "total" page and a page that lists the orders by member. Please take all items indicated on the "total" page. It is your job to compare the totals page to the individuals page, marking off items as you load to make sure that every group member's order is complete - they are going to call YOU if they are missing something that is on that list :)>. Please take the entire packet for your group back with you so that the individual members may sign off on their food products as they remove them from the coolers at your groups site of distribution.
If your group has frozen items, they will be in the WALK-in freezer OUTSIDE, it looks like the back of an old ice cream truck. They will be on the left side, in a bag, with the group name and the customer's name.
The milk will be in thestore in the tinted refrigerator.
The extra refrigerated group items will also be in the tinted refrigerator on the right size on a shelf that will be labeled for your group.
The extra dry group items will be on the silver desktop in the store.
The other sliding door refrigerator in the store contains extra items that are for sale and a few "store use" items. Feel free to purchase extra cheese, eggs, dulce de leche, grains, dried fruits, yogurt, kefir, jams, honey, maple, salt, etc.
Each group should have a zip lock plastic sack taped to the top of one of the coolers. In this sack should be a pen, a pen flashlight, and the list picked up at the farm. DO NOT print your own pick up list under any cirmcumstances. The ONLY accurate list for your pick up will be at the farm on the clip board.
We recommend that each group have group coolers and that each member of the group pay $10 into a group fund to cover the cost of the coolers or repairs to coolers. If your group has a host home that supplies a refrigerator and freezer, we recommend you chip in to pay for their electricity since you will be spared the expense of purchasing enough ice to keep the food cold while it awaits distribution when it is your turn to drive. Most standard refrigerators / freezers use about $10 per month in electricity.
If you need any type of assistance, please call the farm between 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. or send an email to support@sandcreekfarm.net.
Be blessed,
Farmers at Sand Creek Farm. Welcome!
