Sand Creek Farm is a family farm nestled in the rolling hills just east of Cameron, TX.  We are a quick trip from Bryan - College Station, Waco or the Temple - Belton area.  Austin is just a few more minutes down the road and Houston and Dallas Families make the trip here weekly and monthly for their fresh farm products. 

Sand Creek Farm was the first licensed raw for retail dairy for cow milk in Texas and we continue to mentor other farms in how they can become sustainable, get their license, and raise grass fed only dairy cows for milk production. 

Our journey began with a determined husband, a skeptical wife, 3 beautiful small children all loaded in the truck headed home from KY with one beautiful, big brown eyed, long eye lashed jersey cow, named Lily.  She patiently stood that first night as we each sat on a bucket on either side of her for 45 min , at midnight with the moon high in the sky, while we tried to figure out how to get all that milk out by hand.  Two city and suburb raised people with a milk cow...we must have lost our minds.  Well time rolls on and with determination, practice and a willingness to learn milking became just another thing that we do.  

Now we have a small herd of 34 jersey and jersey cross cows on our sustainable farm.  Our family is committed to doing things the right way, offering quality that only nature can provide.  We have a diverse assortment of livestock: dairy cattle, grass fed beef, egg layers, broilers, turkey, hogs, horses, dogs, and cats. Our idea is that if a farm is to be sustainable then it must have the different food sources available to the family.  We also cultivate quite a few crops of different specialty grasses, legumes for forage and haylage, grains for family eating, a small orchard and a rather large garden.  As we strive to provide the most nutrient dense food for our family and our customers.
