MAPLE SYRUP:

Grade B, Maple Syrup by the quart

     $20/quart for members

     $25/quart for non-members

Our sugar bush this year is Cold Hollow Career Center in Vermont.  Here is a link to a story about these amazing young adults that are part of this project through a high school program to teach the art of maple syrup production, http://www.piecesofvermont.com/maple-sugaring.com/html.  WCAX news also did a story about this career center, the link is http://www.wcax.com/global/story.asp?s=10044222 and be sure to click on MiVT: Maple 101 (above the first picture) to watch the video in it's entirety.  Part of the reason for the low price of this fabulous Vermont dark maple syrup is that the program administrators liked that their syrup, raised and produced as part of this program for young adults, would then be sent to a small farm to go directly to the families interested in supporting small local farmers.  They are showing their appreciation to you for your dedication to helping others like them.

May these savings bless each of your families.....

EGGS:

Eggs/doz - Member              $ 4.25 (please return egg cartons)

Eggs/doz - Non-Member       $ 4.50

Remember, Spring and Fall are the best times of the year to purchase eggs as supply is high with the lower temperatures and long daylight hours.  For eggs in your home all year, this is the time to scramble them raw, fill the ice cube trays and pop the frozen cubes into sacks for storage (1 cube = 1 egg).  In the hot summer months and the short colder winter days, supply will probably be short as this is the normal way a chicken has a rest and a time to reset her reproductive tract for the year.
